We draw inspiration from the silk embroidery houses of Suzhou, China, where Tang dynasty techniques still flourish; from London’s Royal School of Needlework, where seamstresses craft garments for the British royal family; and from ateliers in northern New Jersey, where artisans hand-apply 18K gold to the pages of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas.
